NOW AND EVER OLIVEIRAS
The obsession of all religions is the search for eternity.
What most resembles this search today is the existence of trees that have crossed the centuries and continue to bear fruit.
The olive tree is one of those magical trees.
There are some olive trees in Alentejo and Algarve that are more than two thousand years old. When I first saw them I felt a shock that was almost physical.
The cultural reflection, as an artist, came later.
